Kellan talks about Rob to "Vanity Fair"

You’re currently on a break. What do you usually love to do on your downtime?
I love to read. I have a Kindle, and it’s nice to be able to download books that people refer. Rob[ert Pattinson] reads all of the time and he refers so many great books, Jackson [Rathbone], as well, and Kristen [Stewart]. It’s nice to just download books because we have so much downtime. I have close to eight hours a day to read. I finish so many books it’s amazing. I’m also doing Rosetta Stone, learning some French.

How do you guys cope with all of this?
We all have our passions that we enjoy. Rob and Jackson will bring their guitars everywhere. As long as you have that passion where you can just disappear and be normal, feel normal, bring your iPod or favorite books, and just do the things that you would do when Twilight wasn’t around—that’s all keeping us who we are. We’re all really blessed, and we’re humble and down to earth, anyway.

Do you find that as a cast you’re leaning on each other even more?
Yeah, definitely. It’s one of those things where we kind of are this family, especially going through all this. We’re all going on this insane adventure and fantasy as an actor with Twilight, and it’s nice to do it with someone. We’re all friends, which is nice, so we can all go out to dinner, have a great time, relax, play games, go out to concerts. Kings of Leon have been up here, Jason Mraz … It’s nice to disappear and do stuff together. All of our friends are back home, and we try to have our friends come up here and hang out. But realistically it’s kind of tough to do that, so it’s nice to have the cast members to count on. That’s the great thing about this franchise—we hopefully get to look forward to making all of the books, so you never have to really say goodbye [to each other] like you do with other projects. You get to say, “See you soon,” or, “See you in L.A.” We get to pick up where we left off.

How do the Cullens rev each other up before shooting a scene?
We really have everything down. We dissect it through rehearsals before we go about it. When we’re on set, we kind of joke around, and when we’re rehearsing, we change up the scenes and make each other laugh. We lighten up the mood. The blooper reel is going to be amazing on New Moon.

Rob Pattinson [“Edward Cullen”].
Immensely blessed and talented. If you can just hyphen those into one word.

Robert Pattinson in Twilight Special Issue

This is for those in the UK only, sorry. Apparently there is an 'exclusive' interview with Rob, plus a free New Moon DVD with exclusive clips from behind the scenes and 'lots more'.

Q: What’s the difference between Twilight and New Moon?

First of all production isn’t the same at all. As far as images and lightning goes, both movies are very different, they weren’t filmed the same way. I’d also say that the story of New Moon is much darker and masculine. The atmosphere is a bit more aggressive, less romantic. We’re far from Twilight where the heart of the story was Edward and Bella meeting, the beginning of their relationship, their passion…

Q: How did your meeting with the New Moon Director go?

Very well! He’s a great guys. He didn’t come on set the first day and say “We’re changing everything!” He adapted to what we had already done and brought his own personal touch to our characters and to the story. It was nice to work with him, we liked his ideas from the start.

See the rest of the scans and the interview after the jump!

Q: Where did filming take place?

Always in Vancouver and the surrounding areas. We spent a few days in Italy also.

Q: Is Jacob the hero of New Moon?

Yes, this time he’s carrying the movie.

Q: Are you jealous?

Absolutely not, quite the opposite actually. I’m happy for him… and for me. I had much less pressure this time around, therefore I was much more relaxed. No more stress. Having the lead role isn’t always easy to deal with. I was extremely nervous when we filmed Twilight. Now it’s Taylor’s turn, it’s great! (Laughs.)

Q: Has success gone to your head?

No, well I hope not! (laughs.) That being said, I’m not the same as I was when I started playing Edward. It’s normal, everyone changes.

Q: Have you gotten used to the craziness surrounding Twilight?

Not really… In each country, each city we go, to promote the movie, the reaction of the public is indescribable. Everyone yells and screams, there’s thousands of fans that wait for us at airports, hotels, restaurants… You can’t get used to that type of craziness, but you can’t fight it, because it wouldn’t change anything.

Q: What do you like the most about being an actor?

I like picking roles that are the opposite of what I am in real life. What’s most interesting is being able to express emotions and reactions in a movie that you couldn’t do in real life. It’s obviously the case for Twilight, but also for Little Ashes and Remember Me, the last movies I played in.

Q: Is it true that your coming to France soon?

Yes, I’m going to shoot Bel Ami, a new project. It should take place in January 2010. I can’t wait to be there and to come visit you.

Q: Did you know the book before taking the role?

Yes, Bel Ami is one of my favourite books. I know the story by heart. I’ll play the role of Georges Duroy, the main character. The script is great. I know that it’s going to be a great movie. I can’t wait to start filming.

Q: Have you ever wanted to quit anything?

There’s good and bad in every line of work. You have to know when to let go. I have to admit that at the beginning it drove me a bit crazy, but I realized that I couldn’t do anything. Anyways I spend the majority of my time on movie sets, not in the middle of sea of fans.

Charlie Bewley talks about Rob to Glamour Magazine

Have any of the other cast-mates given you advice on how to deal with the hype, because Robert Pattinson especially has a lot to deal with?
I think Rob is dealing with it very, very well. I mean given the fact that he is the most photographed person in the world and that he can't leave his front door. I mean when I speak to Rob, he doesn't seem like he's changed too much from when I first met him or from what I've seen of him in interviews before that. He's still a very grounded person, someone who massively enjoys what he's doing and an avid musician so I think he's having a fantastic time. Did he give me advice? Not really. I think everyone deals with it in their own way.

Rob's audition for "How To Be"

Who Magazine (Australia)

Re: The Set Secrets
Pattinson has a Vancouver based friend 'Sam Bradley' who drives him around the city in his white VW.
Kellan once wore Taylor's long wig and went out on the town, speaking french to boot.
Jacob & Bella share a steamy kiss and Taylor Lautner was reportedly "way into it" and stayed that way even after the director called 'Cut'.

Re: The Wrap Party - (Completely different take than OK! Mag)

Guest Andrea Palmer quoted as saying Rob said "party was loud and crowded". He also said he was hungry and sick of sushi. He made a joke about fish in the tanks and on his plate.
The absence of Kristen Stewart sparked rumours of a 'split' but Robert 'showed no sign of moping'
Before calling it a night he seemed in his element, sipping cocktails as Beluga whales swam by. A source said "he looked good, relaxed and was having a really good time with his friends."
