First Look At Rob's Wax Figure

EXCITED CROWDS OF TWILIGHT FANS TO UNVEIL WAX FIGURE OF HOLLYWOOD HEARTTHROB “R-PATTZ” AT MADAME TUSSAUDS NY

Crowds of screaming fans will flood Times Square to help unveil a wax figure of Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson on Thursday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Madame Tussauds New York, 234 West 42nd St. (b/w 7th & 8th Aves.), Manhattan. After the unveiling, fans will be able to cozy up to R-Pattz’s figure for photos and even a hug. Once immortalized (in wax), the Twilight vampire and Remember Me star will join the likes of Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Leonardo DiCaprio – all of whom have wax figures in the famed Times Square wax attraction.

Pattinson’s figure is dressed in black trousers and fitted shirt. A jacket in a contrasting color finishes off his young, hip look. R-Pattz’s wax likeness also sports the actor’s signature tousled locks, which fans are invited to run their fingers through. Each strand of hair was inserted one-by-one by the Tussauds studio artists, who created the figure. They spent hundreds of hours studying photos and watching video footage of Pattinson to create the incredibly lifelike figure, which is posed standing up with hands on hips and will be housed in the “Opening Night Party” section of Madame Tussauds New York.

The first 100 fans who arrive to see R-Pattz’s figure on the day it is unveiled will receive free Pattinson and Twi-hard gear, as well as free admission to the attraction. Fans both young and old, often referred to as “Twi-hards,” can’t seem to get enough of R-Pattz. The young British actor became an overnight sensation following his portrayal of Edward Cullen, the beloved vampire in the film adaptation of Twilight. With a loyal following stretching across multiple continents, Pattinson is one of today’s hottest stars. In fact, Madame Tussauds London will also unveil a figure of R.Pattz on the same day as Madame Tussauds New York.

R-Pattz’s fans and representatives from Madame Tussauds NY will be available for interviews on site.

rob has trouble remembering his lines

Even as a talented movie star, Robert Pattinson admits to having trouble remembering his lines.

The hunky actor says that he needs someone to “feed” him his lines during the Twilight movies and has a poor memory. “When we do 'Twilight' there is always someone there who takes care of everything and feeds you your lines,” he said.

Pattinson, who plays Edward in the film, tries to practice his lines, but in the end he still needs a little help. “I read a lot on set, but as soon as I shut the book I can barely remember the last line I’ve just read. We’re just shooting "Bel Ami" and Declan Donnellan is directing it. He usually does stage productions and expects me to know all of my lines – like a stage actor. No chance! I realized how rusty and slow my brain has become.”

Meanwhile, Rob and "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart have been linked romantically, but Pattinson still won’t completely spill. “I think most people like to have a secret with a girl or boyfriend,” he said.“It keeps things exciting.”

NEW Interview with Rob, Emile and Nick Osborne at the UK Remember Me Premiere

In Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a troubled 22-year-old who has more family issues than you can shake a stick at. Then he meets Ally, who lives each day to the full since her mother’s murder. But can the tragic circumstances that bought them together keep them there?

“There’s so much more to it than just a love story,” says Robert’s co-star Emilie de Ravin. “It’s about how families and individuals are affected by and react to love and loss and fear and grief, and all of these things.”

After Twilight’s sucess, Robert has his pick of Hollywood’s top roles, so what made him decide to take Remember Me? “It felt very different to anything else was out there, and it felt very real. And I don’t think most films do feel very real in the way that they’re written. So hopefully that comes across,” Robert explained, before adding. “I just really liked the character, I really related to him.”

But what did Robert and Emilie think about working together? “I can’t think of anyone more perfect for the role,” gushed Emilie. “He really was as equally passionate about it as I was and we really did everything we could to develop our roles, and make everything as natural and real as possible.” And Robert was equally as complimentary. “It was really good, she’s really great,” he said, before adding, “Very feisty.”

Rob Cited in Remember Me Script's Success

NEW YORK — Will Fetters is living an aspiring young screenwriter’s dream.

His first script, completed while he was studying political science and prepping for law school at the University of Delaware, just finished a Cinderella journey to production and opened in theaters nationwide this month.

"Remember Me” is directed by Allen Coulter ("Hollywoodland”) and has a heavyweight cast that includes Pierce Brosnan, Lena Olin, Chris Cooper and Robert Pattinson of "Twilight” fame. It was Pattinson’s participation in the film as star and executive producer that secured financing and gave the movie an invaluable publicity boost, the screenwriter said.

But it wasn’t Pattinson whom Fetters had in mind while writing the script.

"When you’re a 22-year-old and you don’t know anyone and you’re writing your first script, you have ideals in your head,” Fetters said during a recent press junket. "When I was teaching myself to write, I read ‘American Beauty,’ and Chris Cooper was actually the guy that I had in my head for the cop’s role when I was writing in my apartment in Delaware.

"And when I heard that he was going to do it — that was actually one of the last roles that we cast — that was pretty cool,” he said. "His performance in ‘American Beauty’ stayed with me. And to see him cast in my first movie, that was very, very cool.”

Fetters said he never dreamed his first screenplay, loosely based on an incident in his life, would lure such big-name talent.

"I always thought that if I were lucky this would be a small independent film that would go to Sundance without a distributor,” he said. "But to have this actor (Pattinson) at this moment come on board …. It’s wonderful, but who would have thought?

"My life has changed completely,” Fetters said. "When you’re a young writer, you cross this invisible threshold when you get your first movie made. And the fact that Rob’s involved certainly upped the profile. I got my first job offer right after Rob started to circle this project.

"It’s like high school sometimes in Hollywood, where once someone says this guy’s all right, then it’s OK to date me,” he said. "So, other studios started to send me books to look at. And now I’m in this really uncomfortable position where I have to actually choose what work I do as opposed to just doing whatever I’m offered. So, I have to have some culpability for my own career.”
