Twilight’s Fashion Invasion Reaches Calvin Klein, Vogue

Twilight stud muffin Kellan Lutz is Calvin Klein's "new Mark Wahlberg," according to Fox News. "Kellan has been signed to Calvin Klein for a huge campaign that will feature him in his skivvies all over billboards and in magazines," a source tells them. The label reportedly wants to re-create Wahlberg's ads, and thinks Lutz is the best person to fill out the manties. Calvin Klein underwear is a mighty campaign to land, a coup for Lutz, his personal trainer, and the Twilight empire. And so as 2009 draws to a close, there could be no better time to reflect on Twilight's fashion journey, from its humble beginnings to ridiculously glamorous future.

The saga has had quite a mystic fashion adventure over the past year. Landing most noticeably first in Hot Topic stores, Twi merch bolstered the retailer's sales in the third quarter of '08, one of the worst economic periods in decades, keeping the chain not only from going under but also astoundingly profitable. The rest of the industry drooled over those financial returns, and companies quickly began scheming for their own fashion-derived pot of Twilight gold. Nordstrom was quick to launch its own Twilight line of Team Edward T-shirts, jewelry, and other nonsense. Increasingly ridiculous Twilight product launches followed, including makeup (more than one line), "Edward's smile" necklaces, and vampire-fang veneers, which cost from $250 for a dentist to apply.

The power of Twilight did not escape the notice of the fashion media, which also fell on incredibly hard times in 2009. Desperate to recover and, like too many of us, unable to ignore the psychodom of the Twilight empire
any longer, fashion editors let loose their fangs and sank them into the vulnerable horde of teens and their parents, now hungry to know themselves what all this fuss was about. Hedi Slimane shot Robert Pattinson — an ex-model, in fact — for the September issue of AnOther Man. Next came Harper's Bazaar, the December cover of which starred Kristen Stewart and R-Pattz, further fueling relationship rumors with a dark, romantic spread inside the issue. Before the Lutz news broke, rumors surfaced about shirtless star Taylor Lautner signing on as the new face of Armani.

After all that, where are these stars to go? They've sparkled, vamped, and muscled their way from the dredges of Hot Topic to high fashion. They can have only one final destination: Vogue. E! Online reports that Robert Pattinson was shot for the magazine at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art along with his Remember Me co-star Emilie de Ravin.

Photographer Norman Jean Roy is said to have shot them in several spots throughout the museum, including interior and exterior setups. "It's kind of edgy in a Vogue way," the source says. "Emilie is wearing high fashion but it's like sort of tattered-looking. Rob is mainly in suits."

Sure, Vogue will publish the photos under the pretense of Remember Me coming out. But that's only because they missed the Twilight train in the heat of New Moon. They may have been wishing it to disappear like the rest of us, but with the rest of the industry hooked and profiting, the mighty beast can go ignored no longer. And if that magazine came around to Lady Gaga, they can come around to anything.

Robert and Kristen make Time's People 'Who Mattered' List

It's been at least a decade since we had a pair of authentic, shriek-inducing, catch-me-when-I-faint teen idols on our hands. But suddenly, OMG, they're back. What makes the stars of the Twilight series so idolizable? It's partly that ineffable combination of dirtiness and innocence: they're sexy, but they're not sexual. They're also not generically beautiful. God knows they're hot enough, but they look interesting too. Intelligent. Slightly askew. You don't just want to look at them or sleep with them; you want to talk to them. Like the vampire Pattinson plays onscreen, you can see that once upon a time they were merely human, just like us.

Gossip Cop confirms Rob/Emilie Photoshoot for Vogue

Gossip Cop can confirm that Robert Pattinson and his “Remember Me” co-star Emilie de Ravin shot a spread for Vogue yesterday in Los Angeles.

Pattinson and de Ravin posed for a number of photos in different exhibition spaces throughout the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

Much of the shoot took place in cordoned off areas before LACMA opened to the public at noon.

The photos are slated to run in Vogue’s March “Power Issue,” which hits newsstands just about three weeks before the release of “Remember Me.”

Emilie de Ravin’s rep confirmed to Gossip Cop that details of yesterday’s museum shoot were “accurate.”

I know some people didnt believe yesterday, because it was from E!, but like I said, Mark Malkin is very reliable. So I think you can believe now.

Guitar Signed by Robert to be Auctioned Off for Charity

Southern California’s 99.5 KLOS Mark & Brian Christmas Show is auctioning off a Fender Telecaster signed by Rob to benefit The Midnight Mission, which provides basic necessities plus counseling, education, training and job placement for the homeless.

Brand new Fender Telecaster signed by ultra hot Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) from the Twilight movie series. Rob happened to be shopping for instruments at Norm’s Rare Guitars and Norm (a great friend of The Midnight Mission), asked him if he’d sign a guitar that could be auctioned off to support the services of the charity. Rob was gracious enough to say yes and do it. This terrifically talented actor and singer/musician even consented to have his picture taken with the signed instrument. I didn’t post it here, but have it available for authentication (believe it or not this humble actor is a bit camera shy when not at work). Get this now!! I have seen tons of signed pictures and posters, but not a Fender guitar. And as you real fans know, Robert is an excellent musician – he plays piano, guitar and sings! So it’s a winner - a great and unique gift for you or someone you love and you help people who don’t always feel loved.

Kellan will be a Calvin Klein Model

Kellan Lutz has been hired to fill some very big underwear at Calvin Klein.
Fox411.com has learned exclusively that the "New Moon" hunk has been signed to a modeling contract with the fashion giant, and will be featured in a very familiar ad campaign.
"He’s going to be their new Mark Wahlberg," the insider told Fox411.com. "Kellan has been signed to Calvin Klein for a huge campaign that will feature him in his skivvies all over billboards and in magazines."
That’s right, 17 years later after his ripped abs ad campaign, Marky Mark finally has a worthy stomach-muscled successor.
“The executives have a plan to model the ads very similarly after the famous Mark Wahlberg campaign in the 90’s," the source said. "They want to recreate the look of the hugely successful ads, and who is better than Kellan Lutz to fill out those little underwear?”
Ahem. Moving right along...
The 1992 campaign was shot by the late legendary photographer Herb Ritts. No word yet on which lucky snapper will get close to Lutz’s vampire abs of steel.

Rob came in at #221 on Hitwise's Internet Search List

Mark Zuckerberg should be proud: The top search term of 2009, according to Experian Hitwise, was not "porn," "poker," or "Britney Spears." It was, for the first time, "Facebook."

In 2008, Facebook had been the tenth most searched term on the Web, according to the traffic company's annual survey of search queries.

The rest of the list for 2009 is also made up of "navigational" searches, which Hitwise reps say actually always dominate top search queries despite the common wisdom that top searches tend to be for online gambling or racy pictures. In spot No. 2 is last year's leader, "myspace," followed by "craigslist," "youtube," "yahoo mail," "google," "yahoo," "ebay," "facebook login," and "myspace.com." If you add up all four Facebook-related terms in Hitwise's top 300 search terms, they make up slightly over a percent of all searches on the Web. The #1 term alone accounts for 0.67 percent.

Meanwhile, searches for "porn" came in at No. 16. Britney, unfortunately, didn't crack Hitwise's top 300, but the most searched for celebrity was Michael Jackson at No. 95, and "Twilight" hottie Robert Pattinson came in at #221. (Hitwise representatives say that they are currently reevaluating the data to see if recently beleaguered golfer Tiger Woods has moved up in the rankings, too.)

Rob and Emilie Photoshoot for Vogue?

We know where Robert Pattinson was today.

Across the street from our offices—at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art!

But he wasn't exactly checking out any exhibits…

Sources tell us that hottie R.Pattz and his stunning Remember Me costar Emilie de Ravin were there being photographed at the museum (aka LACMA) for Vogue magazine.

I'm told editors at the fashion bible are planning a multipage spread of the twosome for the mag's annual Power Issue that rolls off the presses just in time for Remember Me's March 12 release date.

"The theme is a date at LACMA," one source says.

Pattinson arrived at about 9 a.m. before the museum opened. But it's not like art lovers—or Twihards—were going to get a good luck at him during the day anyway. Locations were blocked off with blue tarps and surrounded by security guards.
