Romatic Date!

Just Jared Jr. has this little article about Kellan:

Kellan Lutz knows how to impress a girl — just check out what he does on a perfect date:
The 24-year-old actor dished to Twist mag, “I took my ex-girlfriend to this little island in California called Catalina once. I had a buddy of mine go there earlier that day and lay rose petals down on this beautiful hillside, so when we got there it was waiting for us. We had a picnic by candlelight and watched the sun go down. It was nice!”
How sweet!

When actor Kellan Lutz stepped into the Twilight series as Emmet Cullen, he hooked up with millions of dedicated fans around the world. And he knows that the opportunities being given to him as a result of Twilight New Moon and the other films are a true dream come true.

Days before the opening of New Moon around the world, with moviegoers grasping their advance tickets in hand, Kellan said in an exclusive one-on-one chat that being part of an instant success has been an amazing ride. Doors are opening, opportunities are knocking and he is appreciative of every aspect of his good fortune, as he plays a major role in the Twilight drama.
The actors in Twilight are cult figures and have brought to life a world of teen vampires, young love, forbidden fruit, and an amazing fantasy about friendship, love, longing, need, loss, attachment and more. The second movie deals with the danger that you put your hear into when you fall in love.
In addition to Twilight, he has been a regular on the HBO cable series, The Comeback, with Lisa Kudrow. He was in Disney`s Stick It, where he played a local BMX biker and
He was seen in Universal`s Accepted, in which he played one of the Molson Twins who joins Justin Long`s fake college. He was also in the TV spin-off 90210, playing one of the school`s best and most arrogant athletes, in the show The Wire, and in the HBO cable seven-hour mini-series, Generation Kill, the intimate tale of young Marines whose unit is part of the first wave of the American military assault on Baghdad.
You and the other actors and actresses in Twilight are like the Beatles or Rolling Stones -- the mega-stars of this generation, what does that feel like?
KELLAN LUTZ: Thank you for that. It feels awesome. I`ve been acting for a while and done some pretty cool projects. But it is such a blessing to be part of something like this " the fans are so loyal and so loving. It`s really such a humbling experience. We are so blessed to have a franchise " it is every actor`s dream come true. It`s getting bigger and better. It`s fun comparing meeting keeps getting better and bigger. It`s fun meeting the fans and it is truly amazing comparing us to the Beatles.
How do you handle the cult status of the movie and all the adoring fans?
KL:  There are a lot of autograph seekers and a lot of screaming. Most of them are tame. But it`s always fun when you get the ones that bring hand cuffs or have papers to sign so that they can marry you. You do get crazy stories. But I believe it is heartfelt. They come and give us gummy bears (candy) and action figures that they make personally. There are a lot of talented artists out there that love Twilight and they draw pictures and paintings of us that they give us. They are allowing myself to work as well as everyone else, so we should be giving back to them not the other way around.
The movie set is Seattle is dark, gloomy, rainy, so what is the mood on the set?
KL: There are lights everywhere, so the darkness doesn`t get to us. The only time it gets to you is when you sit in your trailer with your contacts in and you can`t really nap or lay down because it takes hours for the whitening of our (vampire) skin and you don`t want to mess up the make up because if you do you have to have it redone.
What are the relationships like on set?
KL: We feel we are so blessed to be apart of Twilight. I love my character Emmet.  He is so happy go lucky and loves being a vampire. If I were chosen to be Edward I`d have trouble. Edward`s inner struggle with Bella that he is a vampire, but he loves her and could never take her life. That would be tough for me to play.
How do you look at the whole Twilight experience?
KL: We are at the age when we got into this we know our identity " so it didn`t change us. It may change the people around, but I am still the same one. We really enjoy hanging out together. It`s great. We don`t say good-by after a film, we go on to our lives and rekindle our friendships when we return. Behind- the- scenes " we all joke around the only way " you feel like you are locked in a jail cell. It`s like our dorm years in college " a lot of pizza from Mega-Bite, it is delicious and it is open late.
How do you chill off camera? How will you spend your time now that the third twilight installment is done?
KL:  Snowboarding. Last year I didn`t have a chance with all the work, so in December my brother, friends and I are getting a place in Mammoth. We also want to go to Aspen. I have friends everywhere now thanks to Twilight so crew members in Vancouver are saying "come on down.` I just want to be in nature and bring my dog. Go camping and hiking which I haven`t had a chance to do in a while.
Who keeps you grounded?
KL: I have six brothers and one sister and my mother is such a trooper. I learned from their mistakes. I still had my fun, but my mom never caught me. My mom instilled great morals and kept a good head on my shoulders. I am always trying to make her proud. We are best friends now. She cheers for my victories and cries for me when I am down. It`s nice to have family so close.
My brother is out in L.A. with me so that`s great.

Do you believe in the supernatural?
KL:   I`m a believer in angels and demons. Some of my roommates say they have seen a ghost " she was a grandmother and they smelled cookies when she was around, and they look genuine when they tell me about it.
Have you had any personal experiences like that?
KL: Yes.  I`ve been in a situation where a truck came out of no where and my car should have been smashed big time, but I felt this force pushed the car and the truck never hit my car. I know that our car should have been hit and rolling. There are times when you do feel a kind of warmth or your guardian angles are around. And it is comforting to know they are there.
What is your personal philosophy?
KL:  I`ve always lived with it. "People see things and ask why? While I dream things and say why not.` I truly believe if you put your mind to it, anything is possible. We have so many talents and we use such a small part of our brain such a small part of our mentality " there is nothing holding you back. You can accomplish anything if you work hard at.
What`s in your future?
KL:  The third film has just finished. TV`s great but I love doing films and going after directors I really admire. Twilight has opened s many doors. I want to be an action star. I wear my scars from stunts. Hopefully, I get to be Matt Damon`s brother in Bourne 7 (he joked). I want to do action, action, and more action. I want to work with Sly Stallone and other action stars " I really admire those guys.
Who were your role models growing up?
KL: I didn`t believe actors were real growing up in North Dakota and Iowa. Playing sports " honors classes. I had to get out of Arizona. See my dad. Went to school for chemical engineering in L.A. where everyone is an actor. And living in L.A. I found a passion of mine -- acting. So blessed to be doing this amazing job. I love to travel to test myself and work with people. Actors are amazing people " complex. Hope to work with Clooney and Redford. I also admire Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio for working with children`s charities and other great cases. They are such advocates. That is really cool.
That is one perk of being a celebrity.
KL: Yes. We also get so much stuff for free, now that we don`t need it. I get great clothes all the time.
Anything you`ve bought yourself?
KL:  Yes. Fun toys. Gadgets. I love the Sky Mall. I bought underwater speakers for my pool so I can keep that beat in my head like a floating blimp. And I got the Randsom from Amazon, an electronic book so I can read anything and down load anything while I am at the gym or anywhere.
Tell me about your dog.
KL: She is a Shepard husky mutt mix named Kola. I am crazy about her.
Five or 10 years down the road how do you see your life?
KL:  I pray that I am working at what I love, and I am some kind of Ambassador to help others, an advocate for charities. My idea is to be spreading the word and trying to make this world a better place. And if I had unlimited resources I would work on inventions that deal with chemistry that I`ve been making since I was a kid. Cook quirky ones that would help mankind.

Robert Pattinson On Fame: 'I'm Pretty Much Exactly The Same'

'New Moon' star also contemplates a fight with Taylor Lautner and separating on- and offscreen romance.

As we enter December, "New Moon" is still riding high at the box office. And although it's a few weeks until Christmas, that doesn't mean "Twilight" fans aren't already dreaming of finding RPattz under their tree.
Well, we're always willing to start the party a bit early. Today, we present the final installment of an MTV Radio interview with Robert Pattinson, following up on his thoughts about romance and Taylor Lautner's transformation. Read on for candy-cane-flavored as Spunk Ransom talks fame, fighting Lautner and the danger of romancing a leading lady.
MTV: How are you dealing with the franchise's explosion into a full-blown phenomenon?
Robert Pattinson: I guess it's inevitable that you become more comfortable. You still fight against some things, but there's nothing really scary about it. I like all the people I work with. I generally have very few disagreements about the script or anything when we're doing it, especially on "New Moon." It just seemed so relaxed and easy. I mean, I've been on three different sets since January 14th. I've had, like, three days off. [So when people ask me,] "Has your life changed?" I don't know. I'm still on set. I'm going to be on set all next year as well. As for [running] errands and things, I don't know what that really is like, because I haven't had a sustained period of time where I've been off. ... I still feel like I'm pretty much exactly the same, which is maybe not a good thing.
MTV: Tell us about what was going through your mind during the pivotal scene where you break up with Bella.
Pattinson: It's strange, but something weird about it [is that I was helped by] people's anticipation of the movie and fans' idea of what Bella and Edward's relationship is, what it represents to them. Playing a scene where you're breaking up the ideal relationship, I felt a lot of the weight behind that, and also it took away your fear of melodrama as well. It felt seismic, if that's the right word, even when we were doing it. It was very much like [shooting the Italy] scene at the end [of the movie]. You can really feel the audience watching as you're doing it.
MTV: What personality traits do you share with Edward?
Pattinson: I guess stubbornness, in some ways about some things. He's pretty self-righteous too. And I guess I get quite obsessive about things — possessive as well, I think.
MTV: What are you obsessive about?
Pattinson: Well, I do have very, very specific ideas about how I want to do my work and how I want to be perceived — to the point of ridiculousness, sometimes. I don't listen to anyone else. That's why I don't have a publicist or anything. I can't stand it if someone is trying to tell me to do something, which is maybe a mistake sometimes. But I like being meticulous, and it's quite difficult as an actor to have that much control.
MTV: And how does the "Twilight" saga fit into that meticulousness?
Pattinson: Well, that's a good thing about the "Twilight" series. It does give you a lot more control over tiddly little things, which I want to have. I'm a control freak about it.
MTV: In a no-holds-barred fight between yourself and Taylor Lautner, who wins?
Pattinson: I don't know. I did hear the other day that Taylor had agreed to an interview where the interviewer was going to fight him. I don't think I'd ever agree to that. Also, looking at Taylor's martial-arts videos from when he was, like, 9, I wouldn't really want to do anything [to make him angry]. Maybe if I had some kind of weapon. But if Edward and Jacob [fought], I think it's actually a fact that Edward would win — I think, if I read the books correctly. So I guess I could hold onto that for my ego.
MTV: Love plays such a major role in these films, and so many fans want what happens onscreen to happen in real life. How do you separate what happens in movies from real life with women you're casted opposite?
Pattinson: You've always got to remember that you're being paid and that there's a lot of connotations that come with that. I think that's one of the major separations. Yeah, I think so.

Remember Me trailer: only thing to recall is Robert Pattinson's in it

This drama may also star Pierce Brosnan and Emilie de Ravin from Lost, but as far as its trailer is concerned, there is only RPattz

The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been out for a few weeks, and fans are sad. Sad because it will be another nine months at least until Eclipse is released and with it the next sighting of Edward Cullen, everyone's favourite sparkly vampire.

Luckily the wait isn't as long to see Robert Pattinson, who will be in something sooner. In this, in fact.

Some might argue that a trailer that begins with the words "Gandhi said …", but then shapes up to be about nothing more history-bothering than the angsty love story of beautiful emo youth, is probably worth dismissing at that point and exploring no further.
Robert Pattinson in Remember Me
But no matter: those people are themselves dismissed for this week's class. For they are not the ones likely to get drawn in by the good looks of RPattz, furrowed in deep thought, as below.

Luckily, for the remainder of this trailer, there are many others who disagree. And it's a good thing, because most of the rest of the trailer is built on other jaggedly attractive images of Robert, in various states of lonely handsomeness.

Scenes from Remember Me
Thus, we have RPattz in pain after being beaten up in the street for no obvious reason, except for the fact he is a man who moves through a dangerous world; RPattz in the library, for he is a man of intelligence (he is a student of global politics, please note); RPattz deep in contemplation, for he is a man capable of great thoughts (and quotes Gandhi, to boot); and RPattz in love, or rather, as pictured above, in bed, probably doing things that sparkly vampires aren't allowed to do.
Robert Pattinson in Remember Me
These are the many faces of RPattz. And there are more. In fact, you are left in no doubt who the star of this film is, why they expect people to see it, or why there will be a good deal of publicity surrounding it.

Because it's all about the Pattz. We see him, a troubled young student, intelligent yet wounded (emotionally as well as physically, it seems) moving through the world and, doing things that prove he is A Man on the Edge. Things such as arguing with his rich dad. Or smoking in the reception lobby of an expensive-looking corporation (probably belonging to his dad. It's a hard life).

Remember Me
The smoking indoors may be the "broke the rules" part of the trailer's broken sentence. From the trailer, it appears he will break other things during this film too, including windows, teenage hearts, and straight through the boredom threshold of normal cinemagoers not likely to be satisfied simply by watching RPattz being moody and gorgeous for two hours (or more. This looks like it has the potential to be romantic, dramatic and epic).
Scenes from Remember Me
It's not just him, of course. Man cannot act alone, even when he has just the one character to perfect (with variants: moody sparkly emo teen and moody NOT sparkly emo teen). There are clearly others in this film.

For instance: (clockwise from top left) there's Pierce Brosnan as Pattinson's dad; a young girl, cute as buttons, who plays Pattinson's younger sister (and is likely to impart wise things at unexpected, life-changing moments – she looks the type); and Chris Cooper as the father of Pattinson's love interest (and a cop/the man we saw beating up RPattz early in the trailer). The lady on the bottom left is his salvation, the lovely Emilie de Ravin from Lost. She wears a sweatshirt covered in butterflies which, with the rumours that studio executives are calling this the new Love Story, suggests that you can probably bet on at least one early death by the eventual end of this film. Butterflies and their beautiful, short lives are always a bad portent, poor lamb.

I'll give them one thing, it's certainly an informative promo – one certainly has the chance to learn a lot about why one might or might not want to watch it. Or, in other words, to simply spend a few hours sucking on popcorn and gazing on the unbesparkled face of Robert Pattinson.
Robert Pattinson in Remember Me
Because really, that looks like the one thing this film might be offering. By quite a long distance.
Trailer wants to appeal to: People who can say "Phwoarr!" and yawn at the same time.
Clarity of trailer: 7/10
Anticipation created by trailer in the likes of me: 2/10

Harry Potter stars: Robert Pattinson was ‘very out there’

Robert Pattinson’s co-stars from Harry Potter say he was ‘cool’ to work with.

TWILIGHT Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson’s Harry Potter co-stars Matthew Lewis and Bonnie Wright, who play Neville Longbottom and Ginny Weasley, say he was “very out there” but “cool” to work with.
Robert Pattinson, who starred in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with Bonnie Wright and Matthew Lewis, was “very funny” on set and kept the cast laughing.

Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom, said: “He’s doing incredibly, I haven’t spoken to Rob in about three years but I remember when he was on the film and he was a great guy to be around, he was very funny and he was very out there but he was cool. I think he’s still got my Guns ‘n’ Roses CD… if he’s watching this, I want it back.”

And Robert's fellow co-star Bonnie Wright, who plays Ginny Weasley, says the Twilight Saga: New Moon star has been left “speechless” by his fame.

When asked if she wishes she had asked him out before he was a global superstar, she told 3am: “Yeah maybe I should have foreseen where he would go and cling on!

“No, I think when we were all in that fourth film we were pretty young still. I think for him it’s been pretty sudden and amazing and he’s still quite speechless about it.”

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe recently said he thought Robert is "coping well" with his new-found fame.

He said: "I haven't spoken to Robert since we saw each other at the opening of a gallery three years ago.

“I wouldn't have any advice, he seems to be coping well…We've been sort of exchanging advice through journalists, bizarrely.”

NEW pictures from Japan - And now a Video, too! :))

From Robert Pattinson-Online

Asako from Japan attached me some scans of Rob’s article from a Japanese magazine called “Movie Star”.

Those pictures were taken when Rob visited Japan.

Also, there is a short image of the fan meeting in Japan. It’s on Volvo’s site. Here is the address.

One fan asked what scene was their (Rob’s and Chris’ ) favorite scene, and they answered the question. Since Rob was joking about Volvo, (as you can see, Volvo was the biggest sponsor of the event), they put this scene on their homepage, I guess. When Chris said that he liked the scenes with Rob the best, Rob got embarrassed and looked down, which was so cute!!

Summit's 'Twilight' Dilemma

Splitting last novel into two films means expensive talks

The two-week $481 million worldwide gross of "New Moon" has vaulted Summit Entertainment into the big leagues, but it also has created a high-class challenge for toppers Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger.
They will likely have to cut a few big checks if they decided, as rumored, to split Stephenie Meyer's final "Twilight" novel, "Breaking Dawn," into two pictures. Sources said Summit has set Melissa Rosenberg -- who wrote the first three films -- to finish the series, but Summit has to clear several hurdles before Rosenberg learns how many more scripts she'll write.

One of those hurdles is figuring out whether "New Moon" director Chris Weitz will respond favorably to overtures from the film company and the cast to shoot two more films, back to back.

Summit execs would not comment, but multiple sources said the company wants to go the two-film route, which means reopening negotiations and securing approval from the author. It also means making new deals with a principal cast that is only locked up for four films. If "Breaking Dawn" becomes two pictures, all of the key cast members will get fat raises, and the three principals -- Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner -- could land paydays in the eight-figure range.

That's what happened with key cast members when Warner Bros. extended its blockbuster "Harry Potter" franchise by turning J.K. Rowling's last book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," into two films that will be released in November 2010 and July 2011. The global success of the franchise made the paydays worthwhile.

While the solution to most of Summit's challenges will be determined by its willingness to open its wallet, the prospect of a Weitz return is more complicated.

After feeling violated by New Line's altering of his pic "The Golden Compass," Weitz said he felt redeemed and reinvigorated by the success of "New Moon." Yet, just before the film's release, Weitz was steadfast that he would next direct "The Gardener," a comparatively tiny film scripted by Eric Eason, with Paul Witt and Christian McLaughlin producing. At the time, he said Summit was in discussions to fund that film.

Summit hasn't closed a deal for "The Gardener," probably because the film company wants Weitz to postpone it and work on "Breaking Dawn" instead. Can Weitz resist the chance to finish a global franchise he helped build, even though it will mean more time away from his family for a long shoot? That's the question the helmer and his reps will weigh shortly. Though Summit hasn't officially made Weitz an offer, sources said the job is his if he wants it. After bringing in "New Moon" at around $50 million and keeping the cast happy, he's the logical choice.

David Slade directed the next installment in the "Twilight" series, "Eclipse," which bows June 20.
